What machine does this rear skid/gusset plate fit?
It is designed for the factory Can-Am Maverick R chassis and is also listed as fitting the Maverick X3. It comes preformed and bent to fit around the frame rails at the rear of the chassis.
What is it made from?
The plate is made from 3/16-inch chromoly, which adds both protection and strength to the rear of the chassis.
Does this replace my factory skid plate?
No, it works with it. This is a weld-in gusset/skid plate that the factory skid plate bolts right over, giving you double the protection at the rear.
What hardware is included?
It comes with 4 M6 weld nuts and 4 M6 button head bolts so you can reattach the factory skid plate over the top of it.
Is installation a bolt-on job?
No. This is a weld-in plate, so it needs to be welded to the chassis; the included M6 weld nuts and button head bolts are only for mounting the factory skid plate afterward.
